Rođena je 18. januara 1976. godine u Cetinju. Živi u Budvi, gdje je završila Osnovnu i Srednju školu. Nakon gimnazije, školovanje se nastavlja u Beogradu na Filološkom fakultetu, na koji se upisala 1994. godine. Diplomirala je na Odsjeku za engleski jezik i književnost 29. oktobra 1998. godine i iste godine počela da radi u Opštini Budva i u Srednjoškolskom Centru „Danilo Kiš“. Godine 2000.napušta stalni posao u Srednjoj školi i prihvata stalni radni odnos na Fakultetu za pomorstvo. Kao stipendista Ministarstva Prosvjete boravila je u Kembridžu na koledžu „Newhnam“ u sklopu programa dodatne obuke nastavnika engleskog jezika, a pohađala je i privatni koledž „St.Giles“ u Londonu. Nakon osnovnih studija na Filološkom fakultetu u Beogradu, školovanje nastavlja na istom fakultetu u okviru postdiplomskih studija. Magistarski rad pod nazivom „Engleski jezik u pomorstvu“ odbranila je 19. marta 2004. Doktorsku disertaciju „Kreativnost i ograničenost u leksici engleskog jezika pomorske struke“ odbranila je na istom Fakultetu 2014. godine, pod vođstvom mentora prof.dr Vesne Polovina. Autor je više naučnih radova i učesnik domaćih i međunarodnih konferencija.
